Withdrawal of FMusA and FSDA exams

4 March 2016

The Federal Board of AMEB has made a decision to remove the Fellowship in Music Australia and the Fellowship in Speech and Drama Australia as a public examination effective from 1 January 2018.

This means that from 1 January 2018 members of the public will no longer be able to enrol and sit for these examinations. It is the intention of the Board to retain these awards as honorary awards to be bestowed at the discretion of the Board.

One years' notice of this withdrawal of the FMusA and FSDA as public examinations has now been given in the 2017 Manual of Syllabuses (music) and the  2017 Speech and Drama Manual of Syllabuses. This notice is intended to give anyone who has been preparing for the examination the opportunity to complete the examination before its withdrawal.
